Join the ACS Fun Run!
The fourth ACS Fun Run will kick off day 2 of the 2024 American Coatings Show and Conference on Wednesday, May 1. Runners and walkers will meet at White River State Park to collect their bibs for a 7:15 start time. The event will end at 8:30 am.
All exhibitors and attendees are encouraged to register for the Fun Run, proceeds of which help fund student participation at future American Coatings Conferences.
Notably, registration is required to participated and can be done during online registration for the ACS or on Tuesday, April 30, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the ACS registration desk.
While the American Coatings Show and Conference are prime opportunities for business networking and learning the latest trends and research in coatings technology, joining the ACS Fun Run is a great way fit to in outdoor activity during the event while having some fun!
The ACS Fun Run will follow a 5K-route featuring some of Indianapolis’s most picturesque sights, including the city’s famous Central Canal and the River Promenade at White River State Park.
The 2022 ACS Fun Run drew more than 200 participants. In an extra fun twist, twin brothers Alfredo and Alejandro Vergara of Alvu Químca tied for a first-place finish.
As in 2022 and years past, the Fun Run is generously being sponsored by BYK.
Don’t be intimidated by the title – running is not required to participate! Everyone is encouraged to run, jog, walk, or amble at their own pace and fitness level. The main goal is putting the fun in FUNdraising! The registration fees collected underwrite future student attendance at the American Coatings Conference. This is especially important as the coatings industry seeks to attract the next generation of talent to help develop coatings solutions that meet market demands with sustainability at the fore.
